RAYA DINING TABLE
Designer: Emily Roose
Raya Dining Table | Custom 10-Foot Oak & Steel Trestle Dining Table
Martis Camp, Truckee, CA
Designed by Emily Roose, Principal of Emily Roose Interiors, for the Dunsmuir Way residence in Martis Camp, Truckee, California, the Raya Dining Table reinterprets the traditional trestle form through a contemporary architectural lens. Created as a centerpiece for a luxury mountain residence, the piece balances sculptural structure with refined material detailing.
Crafted from custom-stained oak, the 10-foot table is defined by its integration of steel throughout the design. Inlaid metal accents detail the sides of the legs, while steel-clad outer faces introduce precision and contrast to the overall form. A substantial steel connector running through the center serves as a modern interpretation of the traditional trestle—bringing both structural presence and visual restraint to the piece.
The result is a dining table that feels grounded, enduring, and architecturally expressive while supporting large-scale entertaining within the home.
The Raya Dining Table reflects Emily Roose Interiors’ approach to custom furniture design—where proportion, craftsmanship, and material contrast come together to create pieces that feel both functional and sculptural.
