Designed for an architectural firm’s office in Truckee, California, this custom wall-mounted coat rack was created as a functional sculpture inspired by the Lake Tahoe landscape. Shaped like a stylized tree, the piece brings an organic, nature-referencing moment into the workplace while providing generous, practical storage for daily use.

The coat rack is fabricated from CNC-cut steel and finished in a black powder coat for a clean, modern look. Mounted with standoffs, it floats slightly off the wall so coats and bags can hang easily from the many “branches,” creating depth, shadow, and a strong architectural presence. The result is a durable, highly functional entry feature that reinforces a Tahoe-inspired design story in a contemporary commercial setting.
