WALL-MOUNTED COAT RACK
Designer: Emily Roose
Custom Tree Coat Rack | CNC Steel Wall-Mounted Coat Rack
Truckee, CA
Designed by Emily Roose Interiors for a commercial office in Truckee, California, this custom wall-mounted coat rack was created as a functional sculpture inspired by the Lake Tahoe landscape. Developed for an architectural firm, the piece introduces an organic, nature-referencing element into the workplace while supporting everyday functionality.
Shaped as a stylized tree form, the design translates branching silhouettes into a clean contemporary composition—bridging natural influence with architectural precision. Fabricated from CNC-cut steel and finished in a black powder coat, the piece balances durability with a restrained modern aesthetic.
Mounted with standoffs, the coat rack floats slightly off the wall to create depth, shadow, and dimensionality across the surface. Extended “branches” provide multiple hanging points for coats and bags while reinforcing the sculptural quality of the piece.
The result is a functional entry feature that doubles as an architectural statement—reflecting Emily Roose Interiors’ approach to custom design through utility, material expression, and sculptural form.
