Martis Camp + Lake Tahoe

Custom lighting is an integral part of Emily Roose Interiors’ design approach—shaping atmosphere, architectural rhythm, and the experience of a space through sculptural illumination and layered materiality.

Created for luxury residences in Martis Camp and the greater Lake Tahoe region, these bespoke fixtures are developed in response to the architecture, interior palette, and broader design language of each home. The result is lighting that feels deeply integrated, intentional, and distinctly connected to its environment.

For the Dunsmuir Way Glam residence in Martis Camp, a custom exterior chandelier was designed to create a memorable arrival experience. The two-shade fixture features an outer layer of rain glass surrounding a floating mica inner shade, producing a warm, softly diffused glow that enhances the architectural entry sequence.

Additional custom fixtures across Lake Tahoe projects reinforce nature-inspired design concepts through sculptural form and material contrast. An entry fixture composed of branching metal elements introduces an organic architectural presence, while a series of metal sphere pendants within the great room establish a dramatic focal point that visually connects to the home’s metal-and-stone fireplace.

These pieces reflect Emily Roose Interiors’ approach to custom lighting design—where scale, atmosphere, and material expression come together to enhance both the architecture and the experience of living within it.
