Martis Camp Retreat is a mountain modern residence in the exclusive Martis Camp community of Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors as a full-service interior design project. Created as a vacation home in the Lake Tahoe region, the residence balances contemporary architecture with warmth, comfort, and year-round mountain living.

Designed for both quiet retreat and entertaining, the open-concept layout creates a seamless flow between interior and exterior living spaces. Expansive windows frame sweeping views of Northstar California Resort and the Sierra Nevada mountain range, drawing natural light and landscape throughout the home.

The residence includes four bedrooms, four-and-a-half spa-inspired bathrooms, a versatile loft, and a highly functional mudroom designed to support both seasonal living and everyday ease.

Outdoor spaces play a central role in the experience of the home, with a large covered patio and upper-level decks designed for gathering, après-ski evenings, and quiet mornings overlooking the surrounding mountains.
