Heartwood is a 2,500-square-foot mountain retreat located within Schaffer's Mill in Truckee, California. Designed in collaboration with the builder and architect, the home embraces a warm transitional mountain aesthetic that balances clean lines, natural materials, and relaxed livability.

Inspired by the surrounding Sierra Nevada landscape, the home blends timeless mountain architecture with a refined material palette. Warm alder cabinetry, natural stone, and thoughtfully selected finishes create a welcoming retreat designed for gathering, relaxation, and year-round living.
