Hansel Ave | Transitional Rustic Remodel (Tahoe Donner, Truckee, CA)
Hansel Ave is a transitional rustic remodel in the Tahoe Donner community of Truckee, California. Nestled in the Lake Tahoe mountains, this home received a much-needed update focused on two high-impact spaces: the living room fireplace and the primary bathroom.
The refreshed fireplace features new stonework, built-in storage on both sides, and a reclaimed wood mantel crafted from an old post—adding warmth, texture, and authentic character. Elegant wall sconces now frame the fireplace, highlighting the updated focal point and bringing a timeless, elevated finish to the living space.
The primary bathroom remodel was designed to feel connected to the home’s mountain setting while introducing a cleaner, modern-rustic sensibility. Thoughtful material selections and functional upgrades bring comfort, style, and everyday ease together—creating a relaxing retreat that feels current while honoring the home’s original charm.
