Snowshoe Thompson is a traditional mountain residence in the prestigious gated community of Lahontan in Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors as a luxury new construction home. Positioned along the edge of a serene meadow, the residence captures sweeping views of the Tahoe mountain range and Martis Valley—creating a timeless retreat deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

Inside, soaring ceilings and exposed rustic wood beams establish a grand yet welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. Four spacious bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms provide generous accommodations for family and guests, while a dedicated home office features a custom-designed desk and built-in storage cabinetry by Emily Roose Interiors that blends functionality with bespoke craftsmanship.

Thoughtful planning supports effortless mountain living through a well-appointed laundry room, practical mudroom, and expansive outdoor living spaces designed for entertaining and quiet connection to the natural setting.

Traditional stone, rich wood flooring and cabinetry, natural granite countertops, and elegant tilework were carefully selected to honor classic mountain architecture while introducing a refined sense of warmth and livability throughout the residence.
