Thunderbird Circle is a bespoke mountain modern residence in Martis Camp, Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors for a busy family of four and their dog. This custom new construction home redefines luxury mountain living with a light, bright, and airy atmosphere—layering natural and engineered stone, textured wallpaper, and refined finishes for a calm, modern retreat.

Unlike traditional dark, rustic mountain interiors, Thunderbird Circle embraces a tranquil, contemporary aesthetic that balances cool and warm tones within a neutral palette rich in texture and pattern. The home is tailored for everyday family life and effortless entertaining, with open-concept spaces that flow seamlessly from indoors to out—ideal for year-round gatherings in the Lake Tahoe region.

A striking natural stone fireplace anchors the great room, flanked by textured wallpaper that adds depth and dimension. Custom-designed light fixtures and luxurious, textured tile selections elevate every bathroom, while cedar-clad ceilings upstairs echo the exterior soffits for a cohesive organic modern feel. Throughout the home, custom furniture—including a dining table, built-in beds, a four-person office desk with integrated storage, and a media cabinet with sliding glass doors—adds function, craftsmanship, and artistry.

Finished with custom bedding and decorative pillows, each room feels tailored, inviting, and distinct while remaining harmonious as a whole. Thunderbird Circle reflects Emily Roose Interiors’ commitment to wellness, sustainability, and innovative design—where modern luxury meets mountain serenity.
