Thunderbird Circle is a bespoke mountain modern residence in Martis Camp, Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors as a full-service interior design project for a family of four. This custom new construction home redefines mountain living through a light, airy, and contemporary approach—offering a refined alternative to traditional rustic interiors.

Layered with natural and engineered stone, textured wall coverings, and carefully selected finishes, the design balances cool and warm tones within a neutral palette rich in texture and depth. Open-concept living spaces create a seamless connection between indoors and out—supporting both everyday family life and effortless entertaining in the Lake Tahoe region.

A natural stone fireplace anchors the great room, while textured wall treatments introduce dimension and visual interest. Custom lighting and elevated tile selections enhance each bathroom, and cedar-clad ceilings echo the exterior architecture—bringing cohesion and warmth throughout the home.

Custom-designed furnishings—including a dining table, built-in beds, a four-person office with integrated storage, and a media cabinet with sliding glass doors—add both functionality and craftsmanship. Layered bedding and soft furnishings complete each space, creating an environment that feels tailored, comfortable, and distinctly modern.

Thunderbird Circle reflects Emily Roose Interiors’ approach to luxury interior design—where thoughtful planning, material integrity, and a wellness-informed perspective come together to create a home that is both elevated and deeply livable.
