Thunderbird Circle is a bespoke mountain modern residence in Martis Camp, Truckee, California, designed by Emily Roose Interiors as a full-service interior design project for a family of four. This custom new construction home reinterprets mountain living through a light, airy, and contemporary perspective—offering a refined alternative to traditional rustic interiors.

Layered with natural and engineered stone, textured wall coverings, and carefully selected finishes, the home balances warm and cool tones within a neutral palette rich in texture and contrast. Open-concept living spaces create a seamless connection between indoors and out, supporting both relaxed family living and effortless entertaining in the Lake Tahoe region.

A natural stone fireplace anchors the great room, while cedar-clad ceilings, sculptural lighting, and textured wall treatments introduce warmth and architectural depth throughout the home. Elevated tile selections and custom lighting enhance each bathroom, creating spaces that feel both refined and restorative.

Custom-designed furnishings—including a dining table, built-in beds, a four-person office with integrated storage, and a media cabinet with sliding glass doors—bring functionality and craftsmanship to the interiors. Layered textiles and soft furnishings complete the home, creating an environment that feels tailored, comfortable, and distinctly modern.

Thunderbird Circle reflects Emily Roose Interiors’ approach to luxury residential design—where material integrity, thoughtful planning, and long-term livability come together to create homes that feel immersive, elevated, and deeply connected to the way people live.
