Located in the Tahoe Donner community of Truckee, California, this primary bathroom remodel transformed a dark, cramped space into a light-filled, spacious retreat with elevated everyday function. The original layout lacked usability, so the renovation focused on improving flow and openness—removing one wall and opening most of another to create an airy feel while maintaining essential privacy.

The new design embraces an organic modern aesthetic inspired by spa retreats. A custom floating walnut vanity anchors the space, while a trio of hand-blown glass pendant lights adds sculptural warmth above the countertop. Ample recessed lighting enhances the bathroom’s bright, welcoming ambiance.

A large walk-in shower serves as the centerpiece, featuring a multi-function shower system engineered for water conservation without sacrificing luxury. One shower wall includes a suspended floating bench and an integrated bottle niche for streamlined storage. Lush green glass subway tile introduces a biophilic connection to nature, while easy-to-clean marble-look floor tile adds a refined, timeless finish.

The result is a Tahoe Donner primary bathroom renovation that blends modern design, comfort, and eco-conscious performance—creating a serene, highly functional space for daily living.
